Keep calm and party on

They say “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Another saying is “take life with a pinch of salt”. However my favourite is definitely ” take life with a pinch of salt, a shot of tequila and a slice of lemon!”. I wonder, does the picture make it obvious!?

The word party means something different to everyone, no one really has the same definition of the word. For myself, a party is a gathering of my closest friends, music, drinks, good times! Of course, the party only really starts when the tequila shots start flowing. Now i can just see that most of you reading this are grimacing, but there are a few of you out there that are smiling right now.

Most of my friends flee from me at the slightest mention of tequila. You see for them the rules apply, ” one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR!”. Whereas for me it goes like this – “one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, MORE!”. My friends, they learnt that the hard way. Good tequila buddies are so hard to find these days, and seemingly even harder to hold on to.

Parties are a time to let loose and allow yourself to be a little crazy, who gives a damn what people think. Have fun! Do something stupid!

We are throwing a leaving party for my flatmate today, so her and I decided we would go all out. Seventy shot glasses, drinking games, a lot of alcohol and a house full of people – need i say more. Of course there will be tequila! Plenty of tequila!!

Life is stressful and stress is boring! Every now and then you have to liven things up, you will feel much more motivated afterwards….well perhaps not directly afterwards (hangovers suck!), but after the recovery period.

So keep calm and party on!!

P.S. please always remember to drink responsibly, know your limits and never EVER drink and drive!
